• The World Washed White as Snow

It’s amazing what the biggest snow storm in memory can do to bring a sense of newness to one’s life.

This is Dallas / Fort Worth, where just a month ago it snowed for the first Christmas in 80 years and is now more than four inches deep. We could reach nine inches by the time this weather is through.

Everything is covered in white. The world looks new. Innocent and new. Ready for warm hugs and children laughing. Time for the forgiveness of old sins and the healing of old wounds. Time to step out in a new direction, or correct one’s step back onto the proper path. Love covers a multitude of sins.

That is what I’m hearing. “My love, like a blanket of snow, covers a multitude of sins. Find rest in Me. Find a warm place beside Me. Take comfort in the shadow of My wing. Know me, and begin to walk in a new fashion. With legs that are no longer crooked and maimed. Walk straight with new vision and a sure footing. It’s a new day.”

Yes, you’ve heard that many times. But it’s true. This IS a new day. It is a day for wiping away the past, choosing to walk with more focus and determination, and experiencing the peace that comes from a pure heart.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He cause His face to shine upon you, and give you peace.
