I’m watching Motherhood (starring Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver) with Heather. We’re holed up in my mother-in-law’s room while Gigi does her very best to keep Katie entertained for two solid hours.
Uma’s character put me to shame. At least according to the meticulous schedule, she blogs three times a day. These are mostly brief, thoughts from the collective mother hive-mind, but still, they are there. She blogs three times a day. I don’t even blog three times per week. not on any one site, anyhow.
This is perhaps the most funny movie about motherhood I’ve ever seen. While we don’t live in the big city or own a dog, I’m watching Heather laugh knowingly far too often to pretend we don’t identify with this over-cluttered, over-worked lifestyle.
What can I say. I’m sitting here typing this because a movie shamed me into blogging. Is that bad?
