Like many other early adopters, I’m facing a dilemma. Of the three major social networking sites, I’m currently enjoying Google+ the most. Granted, shiny new toy factor is in play. But I’m nearing the point where one of them’s got to go.
It’s not practical to share content across three networks and check all three frequently for replies and valuable updates.
Which Will it Be?
I have a deep loyalty to Twitter. It’s my favorite platform of all time. Since I was too old to join Facebook until it went public to non-college students, I didn’t bond with it until tens of millions were already on board.
Being as intellectually honest as I know to be, I’ll admit that I might be prejudiced toward Twitter simply because I felt I was in on the ground floor. There’s a pride and loyalty bond that is hard to overcome.
I’m in on the ground floor of Google+, and i’m loving it. As a social network, it does several things both Facebook and Twitter can’t do. The #1 benefit is that I no longer have to depend on multiple network profiles to talk on all the different topics I’m interested in.
