    They say that ignorance is bliss, but it’s really just disease, confusion, and disappointment.

    You can avoid dental exams becuase you’re happier now not knowing about problems and possible future procedures needed. But you’re deceiving yourself if you believe that you are truly happier for not knowing.

  • Toys Aren’t Real

    I am convinced that small children want to interact with real-world objects, not toys. This has proven true with all three of our babies. Toys are these things other than everyday life that are devoted to the singular task of entertainment.

  • The WHY Behind Blogging

    I may have met my book writing soulmate. In his book, Start with Why, Simon Sinek tells us that the businesses and people who make the greatest impact are those who begin by answering the question WHY.

    We have three primary questions to answer, and both how we answer them and in which order we answer them determines who we will be and how fulfilled we’ll be with our decision-making.

  • Join Me In Celebrating My Wife, Heather!

    I experienced a lifegiving practice through Cliff, Jen, and Jessie at the end of my Permaculture Design Course. They brought each student forward and asked the group to speak one word descriptions that most accurately represent the individual. Someone wrote those words down on the back of the PDC certificate for each person to take home with them and read over and over again. (more…)
